As there is still no comparison between the HelioX10 and Snapdragon 650. Anyway, the Pro will also come with 2 models available, a base model (2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage) and an advance model (3 GB RAM and 32 GB Storage). Sadly, there is still no Expandable storage support.

Despite the upgraded chipset, still the camera will only feature 1080p video recording, so no 4K video. But you do have option for slow motion recording via 720p @ 120 fps.In terms of appearance, the Redmi Note 3 Pro will be sporting the same aesthetics and construction with the Standard version.

An all Metal (Aluminum) exterior and also at the rear is a Biometric Fingerprint Scanner. It is a 5.5 incher with a 1080p or FHD resolution display with roughly about 400+ ppi. The Note 3 Pro also advertise night time reading mode and better adaptive brightness.

Furthermore, the Note 3 Pro also packs a massive 4050mAh battery, (minor upgrade to the 4000mAh) carry this capacity makes it a bit chunky, but at just 8.6mm overall thickness, it’s acceptable. The camera bares similar features to the standard version, but the Pixels are bumped to 16 Megapixel and features PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) Camera with a fast 0.1s fast focus time (as advertised).
The camera will also feature f/2.0 Aperture lens and dual Tone LED Flash. The front camera will also feature a wide angle lens, beautify mode and 1080p video capture.
It’s not uncommon to see prices to increase even though the phone is still at its presale stage. Although Xiaomi did announce it to only be $150, reseller prices will be much higher.
Compared to the standard version, it seems that the Pro might be a better pick. Considering the new Adreno Chipsets, and Qualcomms claim of better performance, the Pro version will likely be a better deal. Also worth noting that aside from the chipset, the camera has received a bump to 16 MP (from 13 MP) and the battery at 4050mAh (from 4000). Which are frankly very minimal changes. Writing blogs is my hobby and i have taken a keen interest in making Tablet and Phone Reviews. Vincent January 22, 2016 at 8:06 am Hello Frederik, I agree, the pro version is the better deal, especially with the new Snapdragon 650 chipset.
You will likely see more chipsets like this on 2016. Also compared to the standard version, the difference is very minimal, although i am betting the new Chipset will perform better than expected. In terms of price to performance, i would go for the Note 3 Pro version.
Best Regards, Vince Reply Frederik January 22, 2016 at 8:36 am And if you had to pick a whole other phone, within that price range which would you take a look at? OR would the Redmi Note 3 Pro, be the absolute best deal out there at the moment? ? Reply Vincent January 22, 2016 at 8:43 am Within the price, the Xiaomi Mi4C is also a good choice, it has a top tier Snapdragon 808 chipset.
My top four choices would be: OnePlus Two, ZTE Axon, OnePlus X (because of the build) and Xiaomi Mi4C. Best Regards, Vince Reply Vincent June 29, 2016 at 3:08 pm Hello Charles, In terms of performance Snapdragon 650 vs. MT6753, i would choose the Snapdragon 650. The Snapdragon offers better performance especially coupled with the 1080p screen. Best Regards, Vince Reply
